Northwest Wins Back to Back at Home for the First Time Since 2001, 1-0 Against Missouri Western
Maryville, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State's soccer team played Missouri Western at Bearcat Pitch capturing a 1-0 win. This is head coach Tracy Cross' first consecutive wins as a Bearcat and the team's first back-to-back wins since November 3rd and 4th of 2001.
The game was off to a slow start as the 'Cats ended the streak in the 42nd minute with sophomore Sarah Hobson's first goal of the season. The kick-back assist by sophomore Margaret Trummer. Trummer tied the school record with her seventh career assist.
This win placed Northwest with a MIAA record of 1-0-1 and an overall record of 2-1-2. The 'Cats will be on the road September 16th against Central Missouri State with a game time of 7 p.m. The Bearcats will return home on September 20th to match up with Southwest Baptist for a 4 o'clock game.
