The 'Cats Fall to MIAA Champions Truman State 3-1

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State's soccer program finished their season today with a 3-1 loss to Truman State. With the win, the Bulldogs clenched the MIAA championship. The 'Cats defense and offense improved from the last match on October 10 with Truman - the Cat's dropped a 4-0 decision.

The game got off to a slow start with having a goal scored in the 31st minute of the game by Truman's Robyn Mortenson. Mortenson also tallied her second goal of the game in the 46th minute making the score 2-0 in favor of TSU in the first half.

Northwest junior Katie Flower had the lone 'Cat score in the 75th minute. This gave Flower her first goal of the season.

Truman's Ellen Wright finished the game in the 80th minute with an assisted corner kick goal by Sara Murray.

The 'Cats end their season with a 4-16 and 3-11 MIAA record.
