Northwest loses to ranked Southwest Baptist, 1-2

Sept. 25, 2004. - Northwest Missouri State lost to Southwest Baptist, 1-2 at the Bearcat Pitch this afternoon. The SBU Bearcats scored two goals in the first half.

The 'Cats had great defense, holding SBU to six shot on goals.

Northwest answered one of those goals as sophomore midfielder, Jamie Campbell notched a tally in the second half. The score was assisted by junior Katie Flower on a free kick. The 'Cats could not find the back of the net from that point on as SBU held on for the MIAA win.

The 'Cats will move ahead to Washburn Sept. 29 at 4 p.m. Then, Northwest will face Nebraska-Omaha on Oct. 6 at 4 p.m.
