
MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State women's soccer team dropped a tough match on Sunday at Bearcat Pitch to Graceland University, 2-0
The Yellowjackets came out strong in the first half as they put the first goal on the board in the fourth miniute when Jocelyn Jentsch ball defelected off of Bearcat goalie Alison Sheridan (Fr., Lake Tapawingo, Mo.) to hit the back of the net. That was all the scoring either team to could in the first half as they went to halftime Graceland leading 1-0.
In the second half the Graceland added one more goal in the 89th minute whne Maniesah Munro got behind the Northwest defenders kicked the ball in the left corner of the net to end the scoring and giving Graceland the victory, 2-0. The Bearcats drop to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in conference.
Northwest will be on the road this week as they will travel to Central Missouri State on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match, and then will go to Truman State on Saturday for an afternoon match.
