Goold Signs With Bearcat Soccer

MARYVILLE, Mo. – Northwest Missouri State University’s head women’s soccer coach Joann Wolf has announced the signing of Michelle Goold (Independence, Mo.) to a national letter-of-intent.

Goold, a 5-foot, 9-inch goal keeper, comes to Northwest from Fort Osage High School. She holds the Fort Osage career record for shutouts with 18 and the single-season record with eight. She was an all-district selection as a freshman, sophomore, and junior. Her senior season is still under way. Goold also served as team captain both in 2001 and 2002.

“Michelle is a great addition to our squad,” Wolf said. “She will give up the depth we need in the goalkeeper spot. Her size, ability and work ethic will help us immediately to make strides this fall.”

Goold will be a freshman at Northwest this fall
