Winter Signs With Bearcat Soccer

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University head women's soccer coach Joann Wolf has announced the signing of Emily Winter (Omaha, Neb.) to a national letters-of-intent.

Winter, a 5-foot 6-inch defender, comes to Northwest from Millard North High School. She helped lead Millard North to state runner-up finishes in 1998 and 1999 and the state semifinals in 2000. Winter was a second-team all-state and second-team all-Metro Conference selection in 2000.

Winter also plays for the Omaha Tempesto club team. Tempesto has won seven state club championships since 1994.

"Emily will give us needed depth with our program and her ability to play many different positions," Wolf said. "She possesses good speed and skills. We look forward to her addition to the Bearcat program.
