Bearcats roll past Lopers 9-0
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. – The Northwest Missouri State men’s tennis team rolled Friday to a 7-0 victory over Nebraska-Kearney in MIAA action.
The Bearcats improved to 4-1 on the season and have now won their last three matches. The Lopers fell to 6-4 overall in the MIAA opener for both squads.
Northwest swept through all three wins in doubles action as Lluis Altimires and Sergio De Vilchez sealed a win at No. 1 doubles, 8-6.
De Vlichez led the way in singles with his third straight victory at 6-4, 6-1 over Yeswanth Nadella.
The Bearcats start a string of four matches at home March 13 against William Jewell. Action from Frank Grube Courts is set for 2 p.m.
