Bearcats drop non-conference tilt to Drury
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-The 19th-ranked Northwest Missouri State men's tennis team fell to a fellow ranked opponent on Saturday morning as the Bearcats were defeated by No. 15 Drury 6-3 in non-conference action.
Malcolm Harrison and Vijit Sehgal each improved their records to 8-0 on the season in the match as they were the lone Bearcats to win their singles matches. Harrison was victorious in his matchup 6-3 and 6-2, while Sehgal won 6-2, 6-3. Northwest's (6-2) Calvin Patterson dropped his first match of the season, losing 3-6 and 4-6.
Drury (5-0) won two of three doubles matches on Saturday. The doubles team of Patterson and Sehgal took the lone victory for Northwest winning 8-6.
Northwest will travel to Kirksville, Mo., on Sunday for an MIAA matchup with Truman beginning at noon, weather permitting.
