Groumoutis to Play Tennis at Northwest

MARYVILLE, Mo.—Maryville High School standout tennis player Anthony Groumoutis is expected to compete for the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats starting this fall as announced by Northwest head tennis coach Mark Rosewell.

Groumoutis and his younger brother, Nick, helped lead the Spoofhounds to the MEC conference championship this past season. The duo went 20-3 in doubles play and were the only local players to advance to state competition where the tandem placed seventh. The brothers also held down the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions for Maryville.
