Bearcats Shutout Missouri Valley
MARSHALL, Mo.-The 21 st-ranked Northwest Missouri State men's tennis team shutout Missouri Valley Friday afternoon, defeating the Vikings 9-0.
Malcolm Harrison improved his singles record to 18-3 with his 6-1, 6-3 victory over Robin Wagner. Calvin Patterson improved to 19-3 on the year with his 6-2, 6-2 win, as each Bearcat singles player was victorious in straight sets. The doubles tandems of Harrison and Daniel Quesada, Calvin Patterson and Felipe Gennari and Ryan Westerhof and Raphael Oliveira won by a combined 24 games to seven, with Westerhof and Oliveira blanking their opponents 8-0.
Northwest improved to 17-4 on the season and will return to MIAA play on Sunday afternoon against Truman for Senior Day.
