Bearcats Blank Baker
MARYVILLE, Mo.- No. 21 Northwest Missouri State demolished Baker University on Sunday afternoon in men's tennis, blanking the Wildcats 9-0 to improve its record to 14-4 overall on the season.
Felipe Gennari, Calvin Patterson and Raphael Oliveira each won in straight sets and didn't drop a single game in their wins. Malcolm Harrison, Giovanni Auricchio and Daniel Quesada also picked up wins for the Bearcats in singles competition.
In doubles competition, the teams of Harrison and Quesada, Ryan Westerhof and Vijit Sehgal and Gennari and Patterson would combine to drop just three games in doubles matches.
Up next for Northwest, the Bearcats will travel to Lamoni, Iowa, to face Graceland University on Tuesday afternoon with the match set to begin at 4 p.m.
