Northwest Shuts Out Southeastern Oklahoma
DURANT, Okla.-Northwest Missouri State capped its Spring Break trip with a 9-0 win against Southeastern Oklahoma Thursday. The 26th-ranked Bearcats played six matches in seven days and won four in improving to 10-3 this season.
Northwest surrendered just five games in sweeping three doubles matches. Daniel Quesada and Calvin Patterson didn't allow any in their 8-0 win against Dave Henkel and Jonathan Rodriguez at number three doubles.
All six Bearcat singles wins came in straight sets. Malcolm Harrison moved to 13-0 in singles play after defeating Jose Argumedo 6-4, 6-3.
Northwest will get a few days off before returning to competition Tuesday against William Jewell in Liberty, Mo.
