DALLAS, Texas-St. Edward's, the second-ranked team in the South Central Region, had just enough to hold off Northwest Missouri State Saturday night as the Hilltoppers edged the Bearcats 5-3, handing Northwest its second loss of the season.

Justin Raiti bested Northwest's Vijit Sehgal 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, at number three singles while teammate Boris Barrios beat Daniel Quesada 6-2, 6-7, 6-3, at number six singles. Northwest's Ryan Westerhof held a 7-6, 3-1 lead against Bernie Lancaster at number five singles when play ended.

Sehgal and Ryan Westerhof lost at number two doubles for the second time this spring while Felipe Gennari and Daniel Quesada improved to 12-3 as a tandem dating back to the fall season.
