Bearcat Tennis Men Dominate, Women Fall Against ESU
MARYVILLE, Mo. - ( Men W 8-1) ( Women L 1-8) The Northwest Missouri State mens and womens tennis teams were mirror images today. The men controlled Emporia State most of the day winning all three doubles matches, while losing just one singles match. Freshman Felipe Gennari won 6-1, 6-1 in his single match and was paired with Lucas Ariboni for an 8-3 victory.
The womens team struggled gaining just one win in doubles and losing all six singles matches. Sophomore Jordan Lipira and freshman Lisa Pendrak were paired for the sole win beating a solid ESU doubles team 8-6.
The women drop to 3-4 and the men improve to 4-3 after today's action.
Yesterday, the women dropped 5-4 to Nebraska-Omaha winning the singles competition, but dropping the two of the three doubles matches. ( Women L 4-5)
The Northwest tennis teams will travel to Missouri-St. Louis tomorrow. Matches will begin at 2 p.m.
