
Bouncing back from missing the previous three matches with an injured ankle, Lindsay and partner Erica Ramirez (the No. 15 doubles team in the most recent Fila/ITA Division II rankings) started Saturday (April 22) with an 8-6 win over Natalie Villaflor and Lacey Luina of defending champion Emporia State in No. 1 doubles.
Lindsay then defeated ESU's Marcela Bayon in No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1, to help Northwest reach the finals with a 5-3 win over the Lady Hornets.
In the championship match, Lindsay and Ramirez posted an 8-6 win over Missouri Southern's Michelle Hall and Barb Gombosi before Lindsay claimed a 6-0, 6-1 singles victory over Hall as the Bearcats claimed the title with a 5-0 win. It was her 29th consecutive No. 1 singles win.
Lindsay, No. 33 in Division II singles according to the Fila/ITA ranking, is a graduate of Central High School.
