Northwest Men Shut Out Quincy 9-0
QUINCY, Ill. - The Northwest Missouri State men's tennis team defeated Quincy University 9-0 on the road today. The men are now 7-4 for the season and in the midst of a three-game win streak.
In No. 3 singles competition, the only singles match not to be won in two sets, Daniel Isieto (Barcelona, Spain) defeated Quincy's Brian Silverstein 4-6, 6-2, 7-6. Isieto defeated Silverstein 10-4 in the tiebreaker of the third set.
In doubles competition, Lucas Ariboni (San Pablo, Brazil) and Zack Keith (Chillicothe, Mo.) defeated Adam Albertsen and Rich Henschel 8-2 in No. 3 doubles. The No. 1 and No. 2 doubles both won 8-5.
Both tennis teams will travel to Kansas City, Mo., tomorrow to compete against Rockhurst University. Matches are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
