Women's Tennis Stay's Unbeaten
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State women's tennis team defeated Fort Hays State 9-0 yesterday evening to remain unbeaten.
The Bearcats doubles tandem of Gena Lindsay and Erica Ramirez blanked Lana Staggenborg and Trinn Swart 8-0 in No. 1 doubles. In singles action, Northwest was again led by No.1 Lindsay and No.2 Ramirez, who defeated MaryAnne Talbott and Kris Marten 6-0, 6-1.
Northwest is 5-0 on the year, while Fort Hays State falls to 1-1. Northwest will try to stay undefeated this afternoon against Emporia State in MIAA action.
