Northwest ticket info for MIAA Tournament

Men’s Tournament Central | Women’s Tournament Central

MARYVILLE, Mo. – For the first time since 2008, both Northwest Missouri State men’s and women’s basketball teams have advanced to the MIAA Tournament in Kansas City with quarterfinal action starting Thursday for the men and Friday for the women.

The 2007-08 season saw both Bearcat men’s and women’s teams take home MIAA Tournament Titles, clinching the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

First round wins over Missouri Western for the men Monday night and a Tuesday night win at Missouri Southern for the women, placed both teams in the tournament quarterfinals.

This year the Bearcat men enter the tournament as the No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 seed Northeastern State Thursday at 2:15 p.m. The Northwest women advanced to the quarterfinals for a match up with No. 1 seed Washburn at noon Friday.

Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased at the Northwest Student Services Center in the Administration Building. Fans can purchase tickets either in person or by phone at 660.562.1212 during regular business hours or at the ticket window before Thursday’s game.

Fans can also buy tickets for games in Kansas City by calling 1-800-745-3000, online at or make their purchase through area Ticketmaster outlets, including the Municipal Auditorium box office.

Ticket prices are as follows:
All-Session - $50 (best value - $65 if purchased at Municipal Auditorium or online)
Single-Session - $20 – good for any session during the tournament
Students - $5 (ages 6 through college) – good for any session.
Ages 5 and under FREE.

Fans are invited to rally with Northwest alumni and friends each day the Bearcats play at McFadden’s Sports Saloon located at 1330 Grand Boulevard in the Power and Light District. The event will start immediately following the game for a two hour postgame gathering.

These events are free to Northwest fans of all ages. Complimentary appetizers and a cash bar will be available. It is the Power & Light District’s policy that after 9 p.m. anyone under 21 must leave the venue.
