Schlake Commits to Northwest Missouri State

MARYVILLE, Mo.-Kyle Schlake, a 6-10 forward/center from Firth, Neb., has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball for Northwest Missouri State and head coach Ben McCollum next season.

Schlake averaged 13 points and 10 rebounds per game in leading Freeman High School to a second-place finish at the Class C-2 state tournament. He was an honorable mention all-state honoree. He was also picked to the academic all-state team and state all-tournament team.

"We are excited about Kyle joining the Bearcat family," said McCollum. "His size, toughness and work ethic will allow him to be a great four-year player in our program."
