MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State senior forward Hunter Henry scored 15 points and added eight rebounds in his final appearance at Bearcat Arena, but it was fourth-ranked Southwest Baptist that came away with an 81-58 win Wednesday in the 'Battle of the Bearcats'.
Henry became the third Northwest player to get 800 career rebounds. His 1,581 points are the sixth-most in program history.
Southwest Baptist (23-3, 16-3 MIAA) led 20-2 seven minutes into the contest and maintained a lead of 12 or more the rest of the way. The purple Bearcats made 15-of-37 three-pointers (.405) to clinch their second consecutive MIAA regular season championship and third in four seasons.
