It was the first win in conference play for Northwest (6-8, 1-6 MIAA), while the Bulldogs (5-10) fell to 0-8.

The teams were even at halftime and tied at 41 with 14 minutes left to play. Shawn Carter hit a jumper and Mike Larsen had a steal-and-score in the backcourt to ignite a 7-0 Northwest run. It was the first points for both players. Allen, Henry, Edriss Floyd and DaJuan Harris combined to score all but five of Northwest's 72 points.
