Bearcats Move Up 3 Spots to No. 20 in NABC Coaches' Poll

MARYVILLE - Northwest Missouri State men's basketball moved up three spots in this week's National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) /Division II Top 25 and sits No. 20, announced today (Dec. 5). Northwest, who stands 6-1 on the year and comes off a Sweet 16 appearance last season, began the season at No. 18 in the national poll. Two other Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) teams are listed: Central Missouri (No. 5) and Fort Hays State (No. 15).

Northwest opens up MIAA play with a visit to defending conference champion Southwest Baptist on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. The Green Bearcats won three of four meetings with SBU last season including the South Central Region Semifinal in Bolivar, Mo.
