Northwest Basketball Sees Attendance Increase from 2005-06

MARYVILLE, Mo. - There was a significant attendance increase at Northwest Missouri State men's and women's basketball games from the 2004-05 season to the 2005-06 campaign. The women's attendance increased 18 percent while the men improved 23 percent from the 2005 to the 2006 season.

Out of 13 women's home games, the average per game was 887 fans with the highest attendance being 1,666 when Northwest hosted Missouri Western on Jan. 11, 2006. Overall, there was an increase of 133 per game.

On the men's side, the average attendance was 1,624 per game, with the highest total being 2,152 against the Griffons. Northwest averaged 307 more people per game this season
