Ticket Sales Announced for 2005-06 Basketball and Football Home Games

MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The Northwest Missouri State University Athletic Department has announced information on basketball and football ticket sales and policies for the 2005-06 season.

Beginning this fall, all tickets for Bearcat Stadium will be sold as reserved seating. General Admission tickets will be available for lawn and standing room areas. Mark Clements, Northwest Assistant Athletics Director for Internal Operations, discussed some of the changes.

"Making every seat a reserved ticket in both the East & West grandstands of Bearcat Stadium will help alleviate some of the logistical problems we've experienced the past two years. Those problems came about with people sitting in reserved seats that purchased a G.A. ticket. With the great student support and attendance we get at our home games, which averaged around 1000/game in 2004, and our band on the East side, it just made sense to make all seating reserved.

"After benchmarking with numerous MIAA schools and other NCAA institutions in our region, our prices remain in the median range of those institutions polled. We have one of the best facilities in Division II to watch football. Northwest continues to work hard at providing our fans with an environment to have a positive experience and enjoy the game. We feel these changes will help improve the fan experience."

Bearcat Booster Club members can look for the 2005-06 brochure to arrive in early July. Season tickets and tickets for the Fall Classic at Arrowhead IV versus Pittsburg State will go on sale for Booster Club members beginning July 25. All ticket sales to the general public, season, single game including Arrowhead, will begin August 15. Sales will begin two weeks later in 2005 than in previous years.

The installation of a new ticket system necessitated the later time schedule.

"The new ticket system will enhance our ticket process and will be more fan friendly especially for game day and internet sales," Clements commented.
