Former Northwest assistant volleyball coach Steph Martin was named Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator in August of 2008.
Martin had spent the previous two seasons with head volleyball coach Anna Tool after serving as the Bearcats’ team captain as a player in 2004. Martin was the head volleyball coach at Maryville High School in 2005 while pursuing her master’s degree at Northwest.
Martin spent two seasons on the volleyball squad at Iowa State University before becoming a two-sport star at Northwest. She was the MIAA champion in the indoor 800-meter run and finished 10th nationally in the event in 2004.
Martin and her husband, Tyler, reside in Maryville. Tyler is currently serving as a graduate assistant coach for the Northwest football team.
