Northwest Bearcats

Dr. Patrick Harr

The man on the sideline always quick to the aide of injured Bearcats for 38 years was Head Physician at Northwest Dr. Patrick Harr. He helped continue a strong family tradition of service to the University, which began back in 1944 when his father arrived on campus as an instructor. Either while covering over 1,000 football games between Northwest and Maryville High or serving as Homecoming Parade Grand Marshal, Harr made a name for himself at both the University and in the Maryville community. His tireless dedication to the well-being of Bearcat student-athletes is unmatched.  Teamed with many great individuals like fellow inductee D.C. Colt, the quality of care and well-being of Bearcat student athletes was never in question. Easily warranted, he was inducted into Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Associate Sports Medicine Hall of Fame in 1995 and Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.

Today, you can find Harr at Mercy Clinic in Shell Knob, Missouri and at many Northwest events still lending his support to the Bearcats.
