The Green House
The Green House is the official student cheering section at Northwest Missouri State University. It is the largest and loudest group at Northwest!
Its GOAL is to promote student participation and spirit at home Bearcat Football games. Its MISSION is to promote pride at Bearcat athletics by creating an exciting atmosphere and imposing home field advantage, while reflecting the values of the University. Its PURPOSE is to be loud. A loud student section can influence a game in many ways!
Members will receive an official Green House t-shirt, free exclusive items, and an end of the year celebration at HyVee. Get your Bearcat card swiped at specified Bearcat Athletic events and receive points toward great prizes. Also, Green House members will get early admittance to all regular season football games prior to others. Sponsored by HyVee.
Opportunities to join are held during the spring trimester and summer. We are no longer accepting applications for the 2007-08 year.

Football Early Admittance Information
- Green House members will be allowed to enter the stadium fifteen (15) minutes prior to the gates opening, so get there early! Gates open an hour and a half before kickoff (Example: For a 1:00 pm game, the gates open at 11:30 am. GH members will be let in at 11:15 am)
- You will have access through the northeast gate only. Look for the athletic marketing interns.
- You must wear your Green House t-shirt, unless you paint your body. No exceptions!
- You must have your Bearcat card out and ready to be swiped.
Spirit Points System
As a Green House member you can participate in the spirit points system and win great prizes! The system applies to women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, softball and baseball only. To earn points, locate the marketing interns in designated areas at home events and get your Bearcat card swiped. The more games you attend, the more points you will accumulate and the more prizes you will win! Check out the fall season opportunities below.
Criteria
- You must wear you Green House t-shirt for points to count. No exceptions!
- The only games that you earn points for are games played during the regular season when school is in session. Games played during the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring breaks do not count.
- Any special event that is designated as an event to receive points will be at the discretion of the Athletic Promotions Department.
- Stand up, make noise, and cheer the Bearcats to victory!

Prize Levels
Cub Level (15 pts): You have attended 15 athletic events and you'll receive a Domino's Gift Certificate!
White Level (30 pts): You have attened 30 athletic events and you'll receive a free t-shirt!
Green Level (50 pts): You have attended 50 athletic events and you'll receive a free membership into next year's Green House!
Bobby Level (75 pts): You have attended 75 athletic events and you'll receive a GH license plate frame!
FAQ
How do I sign up for spirit points?
You don't have to sign up! As a Green House member, you are automatically eligible!
How do I earn points?
Members earn their points by swiping their student ID's as they enter an athletic event. The more events you attend, the more points you get, the more stuff you win!
How can I check my point total?
You can check out your totals on the Green House website.
What are the point levels when I receive a prize?
15 Points (Cub Level)
30 Points (White Level)
50 Points (Green Level)
75 Points (Bobby Level)
Where do I pick up my prizes?
Information to be determined..
I forgot to check in at a previous game, can I get credit for that game I attended?
If you did not check in at the game you attended, you cannot receive credit for that game after the fact.
What happens if I don't swipe my card at an event?
If you do not swipe your ID at an event, you will not receive credit for that game. It is your responsibility to swipe your ID or check in at each event to receive your point for that game! Exceptions will be made if there are problems with card scanners.
Can someone swipe my ID for me at an event?
No. You must swipe your ID at every event! You cannot have someone swipe your ID for you!
Can someone else pick up my prizes for me?
No. You are responsible for picking up all your prizes. We will not allow anyone to pick up any prizes for someone else.
