Golf in Second After Day One of Bearcat Fall Classic

First Round Results

MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State golf team finished the first day of the Bearcat Fall Classic in second place after a combined round of 319 at Mozingo Lake Golf Course on Monday afternoon. Northwest is in second place, just two shots behind Bellevue University.

Kristina D'Angela went out at even-par 36 for the first nine holes. She ended up shooting a 76 for the day and is in a tie for second place individually. Cassie Lowell shot a 79 and is in eighth place. Both Taylor Gard and Ashley Powers shot 82 in their respective first rounds and are tied for 13th. Brooke Byland had an 85 and is tied for 23rd.

The 2013 field includes nine teams, including MIAA member Missouri Western and Southwest Baptist. In all, there are a total of 59 competitors in the field.

The second and final round will begin tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.
