Lowell Leads Golf Team at SW MinnesotaFinal Results
MARSHALL, Minn. - The Northwest Missouri State golf team finished the Southwest Minnesota State Mustang Invite in eighth place on Sunday. The event was played at the Marshall Golf Club in Marshall, Minn. The field included 14 teams and the two rounds were played over both weekend days.
Senior Cassie Lowell was the Bearcats' top finisher, shooting a 12-over par 156 to tie for fourth individually after rounds of 77 and 79. Taylor Gard (81-83) tied for 22nd and Kristina D'Angela (87-84) was 41st overall. Taylor Gardner finished in a tie for 61st in a field that included 84 total participants.
Ashley Powers, who traveled with the team and competed as an individual, shot a 76 on Sunday to give her a two-day total of 163, which tied her for 19th overall.
The Bearcats will be off this weekend but head to the Nebraska-Kearney Invitational starting on Monday, Sept. 30. The event will be played at the Awarii Golf Club.
