Golfers Honored by Coaches Association

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - The National Golf Coaches Association announced that three Northwest Missouri State golfers were named all-Scholar Athletes for their academic efforts during the past school year.

Cassie Lowell, Kristina D'Angela and Tess Edwards were all honored by the organization as each player must maintain at least a 3.50 GPA and participate in at least 66% of the team's rounds of competition to be eligible. 

Edwards comes from Springfield, Illinois and will return for her third season with the Bearcats while Lowell and D'Angela completed their freshman seasons.  Lowell finished in the top 10 in eight of 12 tournaments and notched three tournament wins en route to being named MIAA Freshman of the Year.

The Bearcat women's golf team also captured the Northwest athletic teams' highest GPA accolades with a 3.76 mark during the fall semester.
