Northwest Places Sixth at Park
PARKVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State finished with a team score of 366 on back-to-back days to place sixth out of 12 teams at the Park University Spring Invitational held Monday and Tuesday at The Deuce Golf Course.
Northwest junior Jessica Feuerbach shot 15-over-par 86 Monday and 90 Tuesday to finish in a tie for 17th place. The 86 is the low score for the spring season for the Bearcats. Sophomore Megan Chaney shot rounds of 91 and 90 to finish in a tie for 25th place. A total of 66 student-athletes competed in the meet.
Concordia St.-Paul won the event with a two-day total of 656. MIAA members Fort Hays State and Missouri Western finished second and third with scores of 685 and 694, respectively.
Juniors Erin Luchtel (185), Lauren Atkinson (190) and Sarah Hayes (194) also competed for the Bearcats. Southwest College's Courtney Huppert earned medalist honors with a 16-over-par 158.
