2008 NCAA Division II Football Playoffs
Media Information
The University of North Alabama will handle credential requests for media that regularly cover Northwest Missouri State or NCAA Division II football events. Complete game statistics will be available approximatley 10-20 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
The North Alabama press box will house the media as well as media relations personnel. Space is limited and will be issued according to NCAA guidlines:
- National media, media members from the immediate locale of Florence, Ala., and media members from the immediate locale of the competing teams.
- Radio station/television network personnel doing play-by-play (broadcast space will be assigned)
- Non play-by-play reporters
- Student newspapers and radio stations
Requests for press and broadcast space in the press box for the 2008 NCAA Division II Championship Game may be made in advance by contacting Jeff Hodges at (256) 765-4595. Space will be given to accredited media personnel who regularly cover NCAA Division II football events.
Photographers must display proper credentials at all times and must remain within NCAA-designated photo areas. No media members may be in the team area or coaching box.
Interviews
A Kick-Off News Conference and luncheon sponsored by SunTrust Bank of Florence Thursday, Dec. 11 at noon at the lower level meeting room in the bank. Director of athletics, head coaches and designated players of the participating teams will be available. Harlon Hill nominnes will be introducted as well.
On game day, post-game interviews will take place in a meeting room located in the Hospitality Room West Concourse of Braly Municipal Stadium. The losing coach and selected players will speak first, followed by members of the winning team.
All other requests for player or coach interviews must be made through the respective media relation offices. Northwest coaches and selected athletes will be made available at Northwest's weekly media luncheon, held Tuesdays at noon. Contact Northwest Athletic Media Relations with other questions or requests in regard to interviews.
Lodging
The media headquarters for the 2008 NCAA Division II Championship game will be the Hampton Inn-Florence Midtown, located at 2281 Florence Boulevard, Florence, Ala. Contact Kristy Vickery at (256) 764-8888 for reservations. This rooms will released Dec. 10 for the general public.
A hospitality suite will be set up and staffed throughout the week. Inquire at the front desk for the room's location.
