Season ticket sales begin on July 10

MARYVILLE, Mo. – With the home opener only 2 months away, it is about time to secure your season tickets for the upcoming 2013 Northwest Missouri State football season.

Tickets officially go on sale Wednesday, July 10 at 8 a.m. at the Student Services Center on the first floor of the Administration Building and online at www.nwmissouri.edu/tickets.

Membership in the Bearcat Booster Club is a requirement to purchase football season tickets during this period. When you join the booster club, you are supporting each and every Bearcat student-athlete. In addition, you will have the opportunity to receive a wide variety of benefits and special offers based on your membership level.

Another benefit of booster club membership is access to Fall Classic XII tickets in the Northwest allotment on July 10 as well. The tickets reserved for Northwest fans will be on the north side of Arrowhead Stadium as Northwest will be the visiting team during this year’s game on Oct. 19.

Non-booster club members can begin purchasing tickets in the Northwest allotment on Aug. 19.

This year’s game in Kansas City will mark the end of the current annual series against the Gorillas. Because of the expansion of the MIAA, there are some seasons where the two Division II powers will not meet during the regular season. That is the case for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

In total, Northwest hosts six home games at Bearcat Stadium this year, an increase from five home games in 2012.

The Bearcats will meet up with Saginaw Valley State (Mich.) at Bearcat Stadium to kickoff the 2013 football season on Sept. 5. That will be followed by a Saturday evening game against Central Missouri on Sept. 14. Family Weekend will take place Sept. 28 against Nebraska-Kearney with a 1 p.m. start. Central Oklahoma will make their way to Maryville for a game for the first time in over 20 years when the two teams meet on Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. The Bearcats take on Missouri Southern on Oct. 26 in the annual Homecoming game. The final home game of the season will be against Washburn on Nov. 2 at 2:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on the MIAA TV Network.

Head Coach Adam Dorrel enters his third season at the helm of the Bearcats coming off the team’s ninth consecutive NCAA DII postseason trip, currently the longest streak in Division II football. Northwest is coming off a 10-3 season in 2012 finishing second in the MIAA.
