NEW YORK - Northwest Missouri State quarterback Trevor Adams arrived in New York City on Monday to attend the National Football Foundation (NFF) awards ceremony, where he will be honored as a Scholar-Athlete. The NFF has announced that it will be live streaming the 56th NFF Annual Awards Ceremonies live online starting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, from New York. The event can be seen on the NFF website or on ESPN3.
The press conference will begin at 8 a.m. CST. The NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class will be featured starting at approx. 10:05 a.m. CST. The banquet will be held in the Empire Room at the Waldor Astoria Hotel, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Both events will be carried on the NFF website as well as on ESPN3. Adams, a team captain this season, has put together one of the best careers in Bearcat football history. Entering Saturday’s game against Grand Valley, Adams is ranked second in career touchdown passes (69), third in total offense (7,701), third in completions (532), third in completion percentage (66.2) and fourth in passing yardage (5,907). This year he ranks first in NCAA Division II with a 73.9 completion percentage and a 190.4 pass efficiency rating.
Adams was recently earned the Capital One Academic All-America of the Year award, as voted upon by CoSida. He has now earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors three times in his career and has a 3.94 GPA in biology and psychology at Northwest. He will graduate this December and plans on attending chiropractic school in Texas.
