Football Begins Fall Camp Practice ThursdayMARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State football team will begin fall practice starting this Thursday at 9 a.m. at Bearcat Stadium. The team will practice on Thursday and Friday in helmets and will be in shells for Saturday and Sunday morning workouts. The first day of full pads will take place on Monday morning.
On Thursday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m., the team will run the first of two inter-squad scrimmages. The second scrimmage will take place one week later on Aug. 29 at 6:30 p.m. Both sessions are open to the public.
The Bearcats return 44 letterwinners and 12 starters from the 2012 team that went 10-3 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Earlier this week, junior punter Kyle Goodburn and senior defensive back Brandon Dixon were given preseason All-America honors by USA College Football and College Football America.
Northwest will host Saginaw Valley State on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 6:30 p.m. at Bearcat Stadium in the season opener.
