Hy-Vee and Bearcat athletics expand partnership
MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State Department of Athletics is excited to announce an expanded partnership with Hy-Vee, Inc. for the 2012-13 academic year.
This new partnership will bring several exciting features to game day for Bearcat fans. Most notably the Bearcat Zone will now be known as The Hy-Vee Bearcat Zone. The exciting game day atmosphere will continue with an expanded presence from Hy-Vee during the traditional pregame tailgate festivities.
“Our continued partnership is to not only provide a better experience for student-athletes but a rallying point to bring our community together,” said Chris Wiltfong, Store Director of Maryville Hy-Vee.
The Hy-Vee Bearcat Zone will open two hours prior to kickoff and conclude with performances from the Bearcat Marching Band, Bearcat Cheerleaders and Steppers. Fans will also notice an increased presence from Hy-Vee at Northwest athletic venues throughout the year including a prominent presence near the west entrance of Bearcat Stadium.
“We are excited to expand our partnership with Hy-Vee,” commented Northwest Director of Athletics Wren Baker. “The Maryville Hy-Vee is a hub of activity in our community, as is Bearcat athletics.
