Bearcats hold steady in regional rankings

MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats held steady in the Super Region four rankings as little change took place in the regional rankings released by the NCAA Monday.

Pittsburg State moved to No. 1 after being idle last week jumping over Midwestern State who checks in at No. 2 after knocking off Eastern New Mexico, 57-34. The Bearcats remained at No. 3 followed by Washburn at No. 4 and Lone Star Conference foes Abilene Christian at No. 5 and West Texas A&M at No. 6.

The top six teams in each super region advance to the NCAA Division II playoffs with the No. 1 and 2 seeds receiving a bye into the second round.

Missouri Western checks in at No. 7 and play host to the Bearcats in a game with major playoff implications. Ouachita Baptist sits at No. 8 with Henderson State at No. 9 and Central Missouri rounding at the top 10.
