Northwest football helps clean Maryville
![]() |
MARYVILLE, Mo.-Nearly 100 Northwest Missouri State football players and coaches cleaned yards and picked up trash Saturday as part of the team's annual Maryville Spring Clean-Up event. Head coach Scott Bostwick and the Bearcats have held the event every year since 1996.
"This is a weekend our team looks forward to every year," said Bostwick. "It is a great way for us to give back to a community that supports us each and every season. Our players and staff truly enjoy themselves."
This year's event included trash clean-up along Highway 71, Main Street and Icon Road. Others raked yards and cleared debris from homes throughout the community. The Maryville Hy-Vee even donated lunch to the players and team.
