Taking It Out On Truman
Sean Paddock, Senior, DE, Football
Just got home from our pre-game meal. I'm a little late checking in this week. I got a little behind with school work and it piled up on me. Luckily, I finished everything in plenty of time. Not much to report on about yesterday's walking football game. There were several discrepancies about rules during the game which allowed Abe's squad to pull the first upset of the season. No matter, it just put me in a bad mood going into today's battle with Truman. Hopefully I'll take it out on them and bounce back next week and get a W.
Truman's going to be a challenge today. They're an offensive team that does a lot of different things. Not sure which quarterback we're going to face today. Either way our front is going to have to show up and get a lot more pressure on these guys than we did last week against UNO. They do some things we really think we can take advantage of but it all comes down to execution. The biggest key for us today is putting them in predictable downs. Well that's all for now.
Paddock here again.
Just jumped on the bus after our walk through. All the guys are pumped because we get to eat at the Bistro for our meal this afternoon. I know Shayne Shade is about to smash some of their delicious ribs. My fellow captain Abe may not enjoy this meal as much as our D-line because for the third week in a row his walking football squad full of "skill players" came up short, moving us to 3-0 on the year.
Tonight we'll have another short film session to go over all our checks one more time in hopes we can come out fast and execute tomorrow. Arrowhead is always a big game for us but this year it feels even bigger. Maybe it's because it's my last time, maybe it's because it's our opener. I dunno but I'm excited.
