Wagner Named to Alma Mater's 20th Anniversary Team
Maryville, Mo. -Northwest Missouri State assistant head coach/secondary coach Will Wagner has been selected to the Hardin-Simmons University 20th anniversary team. Wagner who is in his 10th season on the Northwest staff played defensive back at the Division III school from 1992-1995.
The Odessa, Texas, native is the Cowboys' and American Southwest Conference's all-time leader in career interceptions with 23. He also added 185 tackles and 52 pass brake-ups. Wagner also holds the season interception mark with eight, and the record for consecutive games started in a career with 47.
Wagner served as a Northwest graduate assistant for two years before going full-time in 2000. Wagner and his wife, Andrea, a 2000 Northwest graduate, have two sons, Brooks and Brayden.
