Football Blog: Offense - Get Ready Bearcat Nation

-Abe Qaoud, Senior, Wide Receiver, Football

The 2009 Bearcat football team is done with camp and our focus shifts to our season opener against the very talented Abilene Christian Wildcats. Playing a top 5 team to start off the season is the best way to start. We want to be the best and to do that you got to play the best. Offensively we are very talented and I can't wait for Bearcat Nation to see the new Bearcat offense.

We're young with a lot of guys who haven't played a whole bunch in the past, but those same guys have been busting their butts throughout the spring, summer and football camp to show the nation that they belong here and help us win some football games. This is a new year and all the accomplishments that we have reached in the past don't matter. We understand that and I think that's important for the success of this football team because there is more to accomplish.

The bus for Texas leaves today and I still cannot believe it's almost here. Senior year is officially about to start and I am as ready as I've ever been and so are my teammates. I love my teammates and I can say that because we truly are a family. No matter what happens in the game on Thursday we are still going to be a family. No matter what has happened in the past, we are still a family. That's just how it is when you're a Bearcat.

Well I don't want to talk too much about what's going on so far. There will be plenty more to come once we start playing games. So for now we are just preparing for a long bus ride and a season opener against one of the best teams in Division 2. GO BEARCATS!!!
