Football Blog: Defense - First Game as a Senior

-Sean Paddock, Senior, Defensive End, Football

Defensive end Sean Paddock here....
Just pulled out of Maryville after our last padded practice before we strap up for ACU. Tempo was our emphasis all week and defense had a good week of practice. I think we have a good scheme planned, it's just going to come down to execution. The d-line has talked all week about how important it will be to win the battle up front because we feel that is where games are won and lost.

It's a little different going into game one as a senior. Usually it feels like we have a long season ahead of us. This year each game feels like I'm getting closer to my last one as a Bearcat. Camp has been full of remember when's and funny stories from the past. It's amazing how many people have come and gone since I arrived in 2005. For four years we've come up short and this week's game is the first chance we have to take a step towards our ultimate goal. It's going to be a battle, a rubber match between two teams with a lot of pride and a lot of unfinished business. That's all for me this week.
