Tjeerdsma, Broyles Talk Football

MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State head football coach Mel Tjeerdsma and his counterpart at Pittsburg State Chuck Broyles will team to entertain viewers and listeners while promoting the Fall Classic at Arrowhead VII to be played Saturday at 5 p.m.

Tjeerdsma and Broyles will appear on The 38 Sports Spot tonight at 7 p.m. The Sports Spot is a half hour show on the independent station 38 the Spot, a sister station to NBC, which goes out all over Kansas City and surrounding areas.

The two coaches will shake hands again Saturday morning before appearing on Sports Radio WHB 810. Tjeerdma and Broyles are scheduled to speak on the station's College Foootball Show at 10 a.m.

Broyles and Tjeerdsma are the two winningest head coaches in MIAA history with 187 and 148 victories, respectively. No other MIAA coach, past or present, has more than 100.
