Northwest Seeded No. 2; Hosts Game Nov. 24
MARYVILLE, Mo.- (Bracket) Northwest Missouri State (9-1) has been named the No. 2 seed in the Southwest Region and has earned a first-round bye in the NCAA Division II playoffs, set to begin Nov. 17. The Bearcats will play the winner of West Texas A&M (11-0) and Washburn (8-3), the No. 3 and No. 6 seeds, respectively, at Bearcat Stadium Nov. 24 in a noon kickoff (CST).
The other side of the bracket pits No. 4 Abilene Christian (9-2) against No. 5 Mesa State (10-1). The winner must travel to top-seeded Chadron State (11-0) Nov. 24.
Northwest has earned its 12th NCAA playoff appearance and its 10th in the last 12 years. The Bearcats have advanced to the national championship game in each of the last two seasons.
