Northwest Now Two In The Southwest Region

MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State (5-1) is No. 2 in the Southwest Region rankings released Monday by the NCAA. The Bearcats, third in last week's rankings, leaped West Texas A&M (7-0) following their win against Central Missouri Saturday at Bearcat Stadium.

Chadron State (7-0) remains the top team in the Southwest region. Washburn, at No. 6, gives the MIAA two teams in the top-six. Missouri Western (5-2) is No. 9, Pittsburg State (5-2) is No. 10 and Central Missouri is No. 12.
