Lamberson Signs Free Agent Contract With RiverCity Rage
MARYVILLE, Mo. -- Northwest Missouri State quarterback Josh Lamberson (Beatrice, Neb.) signed a free agent contract with the RiverCity Rage, a member of the National Indoor Football League based in St. Louis.
"Josh was an excellent quarterback at Northwest and I saw him play on television in the national championship game and was very impressed," said RiverCity head coach Mike Wyatt. "We are excited to have him and hope this is an opportunity for him to make it to the next level."
According to Wyatt, starting quarterback Clay Groefsema was injured in a non-football incident a few weeks ago. Lamberson and the back-up, Anthony Fisher, will compete for the starting spot.
RiverCity is 7-1 on the year and next plays Friday at home, the Savvis Center. For ticket and schedule information, go to www.ragefootball.com. Games can be heard live on KJFF - AM 1400 or on the web at www.sportsjuice.com/broadcaster2.aspx?bid=MTU5-5L17m8qb4S0=
