MARYVILLE, Mo. – Junior Kyle Dunn (St. Louis, Mo.), a junior college transfer from North Iowa Area CC, will join the Northwest Missouri State football team in 2006, announced head coach Mel Tjeerdsma today. Dunn, a 6-4, 300 lb. offensive tackle, graduated from Hazelwood East High School and played for coach Corey Johnson.
"Dunn is an outstanding lineman who will make an immediate impact," said Tjeerdsma. "From a physical standpoint, he is ready to step in and play right away."
Last season, Dunn was a first-team all-region selection on an NIACC squad that finished 2-6. He was a preseason all-american and all-conference pick as well. As a freshman, Dunn was picked second team all-region and all-conference.
A physical education major, Dunn was honored on several teams as a prep including all-state and all-district.
Dunn joins 23 incoming freshmen and two NCAA Division I-AA transfers in the 2006 recruiting class.
