Preseason Football Practice Begins on Thursday, Aug. 4

MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The 12th season of Northwest Missouri State football under head coach Mel Tjeerdsma begins on Thursday, Aug. 4. The first full practice will occur at 9 a.m. on Thursday with no pads. The first session with full pads is set for Monday, Aug. 8 at 9 a.m. All practices will take place across the street from Bearcat Stadium on the west side practice fields.

The Bearcats will play in an intersquad scrimmage at Bearcat Stadium tentatively set for Saturday, Aug. 13 at 2 p.m.

Northwest opens up 2005 with a visit to Minnesota State, Mankato on Thursday, Aug. 25. Kick-off from Blakeslee Stadium is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
