Jamaica Rector Completes Workout at NFL Combine

Rector, who stands first in MIAA receiving charts in career yards (4,497) and receptions (289), has put on almost 10 lbs. since the end of the season (186 lb.) and stands 5'10". Testing with notable college stars such as Reggie Brown (Georgia), Mark Clayton (Oklahoma), Fred Gibson (Georgia) and Mike Williams (USC), Rector held his own. In the 40M, Rector's mark of 4.47 was better than both Gibson (4.55) and Williams (4.56). Also, Rector was tops among the elite group in the cone drill with a time of 6.80.
Rector, who joins former Northwest athletes Sand Wand (2003) and Chris Griesen (1999) to attend the NFL Combine, will await his professional future with the NFL Draft on April 23-24. The entire Draft can be seen on ESPN and ESPN2.
Wand is currently the starting offensive tackle for the Houston Texans while Greisen is a back-up quarterback for the Dallas Desperados in the Arena Football League 2. Greisen was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 1999 seventh round - he played four years for the Cardinals.
