Results

JOPLIN, Mo. – Fighting a foot injury the last two weeks senior Brittany Poole ran her second best time Saturday at the NCAA Cross Country National Championships hosted by Missouri Southern.

Poole covered the 6k course in a time of 22:04.2 to finish 87th at the championships as she was the lone Northwest Missouri representative.

The senior closed out her career after finishing seventh, two weeks ago on the same course at the Central Region Championships. However, a nagging foot injury hindered Poole who still managed to finish her second best time of her career behind her 21:24.1 finish at the regional championships.

Alicia Nelson of Adams State took home the individual title with a time of 20:03.3 as her team finished third.

Grand Valley State took home the team title for their second championship in three years and Central Region Champion, Augustana (S.D.), finished second.
